Show Me Chord ("SMC", "we", "our", "us") is an app for users of all ages that provides chord and music learning features. This app is directed to children under 13 and therefore includes additional protections to comply with applicable children's privacy laws (for example, COPPA in the United States). This page explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and how you can control personalization and data requests.
Personalization (including personalized ads and analytics) is turned off by default. On first run we ask for your explicit choice in a Privacy Preferences dialog. You can change your choices anytime inside the app under Profile → Privacy Settings.
Depending on your settings, we may collect the following:
We do not collect or store sensitive data beyond what is required for the app to function. We avoid profiling by default.
We use advertising networks to show ads. By default we request non-personalized ads. If you enable personalized ads, ad networks may use identifiers and activity for ad personalization as described in their policies.
You can request a copy of your data or deletion by contacting us via the contact link below. To reduce automated harvesting we hide the direct email address — click the contact link to open your mail client.
SMC is for all ages, including children under 13. We take extra steps to protect children's privacy. We do not enable personalization or analytics for child accounts by default. Where parental consent is required for the collection or use of personal information, we will obtain verifiable parental consent before enabling those features. If you are a parent or guardian and wish to give or withdraw consent for your child, please contact our privacy team for instructions.
